Hippo Wealth Is Gone (Sahara Series 9: Hippo 5)

Description

After Kiboko, the male hippo escaped from the crater of Mt Longonot, leaving Maboko the female hippo, it rolled to the foot of the mountain. Three friends, Kariuki, Omollo, and Ouma, found the hippo injured and unable to move. The trio decided they would slaughter the hippo and sell the meat in Naivasha town to either of the prominent two butchers: Macharia and Njoroge. Ouma, was sent to Naivasha to look for meat orders. He did not find Njoroge, but he found Macharia, who confirmed the order for the hippo meat. Meanwhile, Kariuki and Omollo were taking care of the hippo. When Ouma returned, the three friends sat down to deliberate further on the plans they had for the newly found hippo wealth. Then, KWS rangers appeared on the scene, and the hippo was taken away.
