Men of Iqwato

Description

Men of Iqwato is a novel about Iqwato men. Mraki, Kibe, and Kina, three men in Iqwato village, are tormented. Mraki has returned to the village after many years of working in Nairobi and finds that Jeni, his wife, has created an empire where she is the ruler. Kina lived in Nairobi but invested in rental houses and has a monthly income. Kibe has lived in the village all his life but has agreed for the sake of peace. His wife should be the financial controller in his house. rungu, their friend and a man younger than Mraki, has died. This gets the three men thinking. They must reconsider their poverty situations where they barely have food to eat, yet they own all the land. The question of resource ownership must be addressed because the owners starve while the resource exploiters refuse to share the proceeds from the land resource.
