In this novel, you find Mabaker. She was the village baker, having inherited the bakery business from her dead husband. She had two sons, William and Arnold, who looked at life from different perspectives but complemented each other. William led the migration movement from Irek village through Littlestone to Myrestone. They made lifelong friends along the way.
The togetherness and values of Irek villagers enabled them to gain new friends and start new businesses in Littlestone and Myrestone. Everyone who helped the Mabaker family is repaid by becoming part of the family in one way or another.
Mabaker had all along dispensed valuable wisdom to her family that the family is more important than everything else at the end of the day. The single most important achievement in life is having and maintaining a family. Everyone is judged by the kind of family they bring up.
